AppAssure Replay is fast and easy to use backup software that supports Windows in both physical and virtual environments. CloudArray, when used in conjunction with AppAssure Replay software, provides the ability to quickly and easily expand backup and disaster recovery off-site using low cost, highly scalable, and pay-as-you-go cloud storage.
With plug and play iSCSI connectivity, sending data backups offsite is as simple as selecting CloudArray as the backup target for Replay. The combination eliminates all the logistics and costs typically associated with off-site backup, including media transport, tape vaulting services or large capital investments in infrastructure and collocation facilities. Replay provides deduplication and live data protection functionality, improving data backup windows, shrinking transfer times and reducing the amount of storage required.
CloudArray is a fast and efficient gateway that offers a choice of cloud storage providers. Along with AppAsure Replay software, it is part of a cost effective offsite replication and recovery solution at a fraction of the cost of traditional two-site solutions.
Data Availability and Security
For increased data protection, CloudArray offers policies that replicate data across local storage and a variety of third party storage cloud providers. CloudArray also enables replication between service providers. CloudArray instances are portable, and can be restored instantly on-premise, off-premise or even in the cloud for Disaster Recovery or Business Continuity purposes.
CloudArray compresses and encrypts data prior to transporting it to public cloud storage to ensure data security and privacy. CloudArray leverages the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) (256 bit with HMAC).
CloudArray Packaging
CloudArray is packaged as a virtual appliance supporting VMware, XenServer, Hyper-V, EC2 and is also available as a physical appliance. As a virtual appliance under VMware, it supports VMware HA, for added availability and resiliency.
